JAMMU, Dec 27: The live performance by the famous Punjabi singer Gurdass Maan, popular Punjabi Rap Star among the young generation ‘Bohemia’ besides many other renowned personalities left the audience spell bound during the inaugural function of the 11th National Mastogi-Do Championship at MA Stadium here today.
Among the audience including the young generation were so mesmerized with the performance of the Punjabi singers with their foot-tapping songs during the event that they too started dancing.
On the occasion, Choudhary Lal Singh, Health Minister and All India President of Mastogi-Do Association was the chief guest, while Speaker, Legislative Assembly, Kavinder Gupta presided over the programme.
Apart from Gurdass Maan and Bohemia, Punjabi comedy king Gurpreet Guggi and Satinder Satti compared the programme and regularly presented jokes, making the audience to laugh.
Whistles and hooting by the audience clearly depicted that they whole heartedly loved the performance of the renowned personalities.
Some of the songs sung by Gurdass Maan including ‘Dil Da Mamla Ha’ and ‘Ki Banu Duniya Da’ were highly appreciated by the audience with thundering applauses. Not only this, the songs sung by Bohemia and Sukhi Singh also witnessed a cheerful reply by the audience especially by the youngsters.
The event was presented by Lakhdatta Events and the organizers were TS Tony, State President, Mastogi-Do Association, Gurdeep Singh, general secretary of the Association and Jagdish.
During the function, some media persons raised voice against no proper sitting arrangements for them and later they covered the programme by sitting on the ground.
Meanwhile, the fans of Gurdass Maan and Bohemia followed them to the hotel, where they were staying for autographs. Minor scuffle took place between the fans and police, but no one was injured.
Heavy police force was deployed in and outside the venue and outside the hotel also to thwart any untoward incident.
The mob remained outside the hotel for almost midnight and later dispersed.
