NEW DELHI, Nov 1: The wholesale gur (Jaggery) market closed steady in the national capital today following scattered demand amid ample stocks position.
Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur market also displayed a steady trend in the absence of any worthwhile moving activity.
Marketmen said apart from scattered demand, ample supplies from manufacturing areas mainly kept gur prices flat.
Following are today’s rates (in Rs per quintal):
Gur chakku Rs 2,800-2,900, pedi Rs 2,800-2,900, dhayya Rs 2,950-3,050 and shakkar Rs 3,100-3,200.
Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 2,650-2,700, chakku Rs 2,500-2,825, khurpa Rs 2,450-2,525 and Ladoo Rs 2,625-2,725.
Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 2,500-2,550 and dhayya Rs 2,550-2,575. (PTI)
