Gur price muted on sluggish demand

NEW DELHI, July 16:  Wholesale gur (jaggery) market was subdued in the national capital today following sluggish demand amid negligible arrivals.
Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets also ended without any changes in the absence of any worthwhile activity.
Marketmen said due to the off season, prices largely remained unmoved.
Following are today’s rates (in Rs per quintal):
Gur chakku Rs 3,700-3,800, pedi Rs 3,900-4000, dhayya Rs 4,000-4,100 and shakkar Rs 4,100-4,200.
Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 3,100-3,150, chakku Rs 3,400-3,500, khurpa Rs 2,925-2,950 and Ladoo Rs 3,000-3,050.
Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 3,500-3,600 and dhayya Rs 3,150-3,175. (PTI)
