JAMMU, June 25: J&K president of National Democratic Party Indian (NDPI), Rajesh Gupta on Thursday expressed concern over 15,000 vacancies of doctors in J&K.
In a handout he claimed that no fresh post of dental surgeon has been created in the last 10 years in the UT.
“The Government last created the posts for the Dental Surgeons way back in 2008,” he said urging the Lieutenant Governor, Girish Chandra Murmu to fill all the vacancies of dental surgeons in J&K.
He claimed that there is dire need of dentists in the Primary Health Centers across the UT as the number of patients suffering from dental ailments is rising.
The NDPI leader said that the UT is already having more than 4000 unemployed dental surgeons and the Government should do something as far as oral health is concerned.
