UDHAMPUR, Apr 1: A deputation of people of Neeli Nullah Panchayat and Barrola Panchayat led by senior BJP leader Pawan Gupta called on Deputy Commissioner Udhampur and Executive Engineer PHE and highlighted the problem of water scarcity and damaged condition of road from village Neeli Nallah to Dhani in Udhampur.
The villagers including Ramesh Kumar, Kuldeep Singh, Kewal Krishan and others informed DC that the road which was constructed under PM’s Grameen Sadak Yojna some time back is damaged now resulting in lot of inconvenience to people. They also demanded construction of Sports Stadium at Chug which has been proposed since. Gupta informed the DC that by constructing the Sports Stadium the energy of youth can be chanalised for positive things.
The delegation, while informing the Executive Engineer of the drinking water scarcity in Kohli Mohalla and other areas said this was the result of damage caused to main pipe lines at several places.
Udhampur BJP Mandal president Ram Kumar Buccha and Sarpanchs Lal Chand, Jeevan Sharma and Raj Mohammed were also part of deputation.
