UDHAMPUR, Oct 21: Minister of State for Finance and Information Technology, Pawan Kumar Gupta today inaugurated the newly constructed central lane and leading to Dandi Swami Mandir at Shiv Nagar area.
The lane was constructed at an amount of Rs. 5 lakh by Town Drainage wing of the Municipal Council.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Gupta said that the construction of lane besides benefiting the people of the ward will also facilitate students who use the same way to their college.
He said that Coalition Government is committed to improve the basic amenities, adding that various development projects have been started in Udhampur for improving living standards of the people of the area.
Later, the Minister also listened to problems of the people of the area. The people demanded further improvement in sanitation, augmentation of water supply, improvement in power distribution network, construction of protection wall, rejuvenation of water bodies in the area.
The Minister assured that all genuine demands would be met in a phased manner.
