JAMMU, Sept 25: Jammu Warriors Front (JWF) chairman, Rajesh Gupta here today met SSP Traffic, Faisal Qureshi and discussed several issues regarding traffic violations.
He raised concern over road safety and highlighted the issues like traffic signal jumping, over-speeding particularly by youngsters and excess honking.
The JWF leader said that there is ever-increasing number of vehicles on roads which is adding to the burden of short-staffed traffic police.
He suggested for taking services of Traffic Wardens as is being done in other States.
“Traffic Wardens will be helpful for city traffic police in controlling and managing vehicular movements at important traffic junctions and intersection,” Gupta maintained.
The SSP assured that traffic police will definitely look into the issues raised by Gupta.
