UDHAMPUR, Nov 27: Independent candidate from Udhampur, Pawan Gupta today appealed people to vote in his favour in view of his past track record as a public figure and the services rendered by his family not only to the people of this Assembly segment but to the entire State.
Gupta while addressing largely attended public meetings said Udhampur has not seen the development in last 12 years and the area was neglected in all spheres of development. The people face problems of water scarcity, power failure, poor road connectivity insanitation, worst condition of roads and lanes and if elected he will take all steps to remove these problems.
Gupta said he will also work for promotion of tourism in Udhampur with development of pilgrimage tourism spots etc.
He said he will seek special funds for Udhampur to restore its pristine glory and development of Devika as a pilgrimage spot.
He said, besides he will strive for creation of job avenues for unemployed youth and work for eradication of corruption from public life as a representative of people.
