Jammu, Oct 17: Gulchain Singh Charak, former Jammu and Kashmir Minister and President of Dogra Sadar Sabha J&K, passed away today after prolonged ilness.
Charak, a senior political leader known for his long association with the Congress, had served as a Minister in the PDP-Congress Government when Ghulam Nabi Azad was the Chief Minister of the erstwhile State.
His demise has been widely mourned across political and social circles, with many recalling his contributions towards the development of Jammu region and preservation of Dogra heritage.
