JAMMU, Jan 21: The monthly meeting of J&K Gujjar Bakerwal Conference was held at Sunjwan road today to discuss their problems.
The meeting was chaired by Haji Saif Ali, senior vice president.
Addressing the meeting Ch Akhtar Hussain, chief organizer of the Conference alleged that the Gujjars and Bakerwals are being dislocated by land mafia from the land which is under their possession and also belongs to them for centuries as per revenue records in the district of Jammu, Kathua and Samba.
He said the entries of this land are being changed either on the name of Forest Department or JDA to deprive the Gujjars of the same and force them to migrate and lead a nomadic life.
