Guar gum futures climb on low stocks, strong demand

NEW DELHI, Jan 23: Guar gum prices rose Rs 188 to Rs 9,775 per quintal at the wholesale market as participants raised bets, influenced by strong spot as well as export demand.
Meanwhile, guar gum prices have gone up by over Rs 500 per quintal in two straight sessions.
At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange, guar gum for delivery in February contracts flared up by Rs 188 or 1.96 per cent to Rs 9,775 per quintal, with an open interest of 67,265 lots.
Guar gum to be delivered in March contracts also jumped Rs 182, or 1.87 per cent, to Rs 9,897 per quintal, with an open interest of 15,520 lots. (PTI)
