JAMMU, July 1: The Central GST Commissionerate, Jammu & Kashmir celebrated the second anniversary of GST as ‘GST Day’ by organizing a gala event at the Central GST Bhavan, Rail Head Complex, Jammu today.
A large number of the representatives of the trade & industry and senior officers of the department attended the event.
Speaking on the occasion, the Commissioner of Central GST, Gyan Sarvar, who was the chief guest on the occasion, appreciated the trade & industry for their constructive role in the smooth transition to the GST regime and promised to ensure that his office will leave no stone unturned in ensuring that the problems of the taxpayers are resolved expeditiously.
On behalf of the trade & industry, Satish Kaul, president of JK Pharmaceutical Manufacturer Association, spoke at the event, and said that with the support of Central tax administration their various grievances are addressed quickly and effectively.
The Commissioner distributed Certificates of Appreciation to Assistant Commissioners, Abhiroop Aryan and Bipin Jadhav, among other officers for their exemplary work.
The entire program was hosted by Abhiroop Aryan. Jayapal J, Assistant Commissioner spoke on the 2-year journey of GST, after which Gaurav Mittal, Deputy Commissioner presented the vote of thanks. The ceremony ended with ceremonial cake cutting to celebrate the event.
