GRP plays exemplary role

JAMMU, Jan 16: Men of GRP Jammu at Kathua played an exemplary role by returning a run-away boy to his home and preventing him from falling in the clutches of bad hands.
On the confused expressions, a run-away boy identified as Rohit Mehra (16) son of Rajinder Kumar, a resident of Gorkha Nagar, Bahu Fort- Jammu and a student of Class 10th, was judged by the GRP men on duty at Railway Station Kathua while checking the train Malwa Express coming from Jammu.
After polite and homely discussions with the boy, his whereabouts were got and his family members were contacted. On being familiar with the actual story of the boy, the matter was brought to the notice of Suram Singh, SP Railways Jammu by SHO concerned and on the directions of SP Railways Jammu, the boy was handed over to his parents by SHO GRP Kathua, Inspector Jagjeevan Bhagat.
In an another social act, GRP Jammu traced lost Nokia-625 mobile set costing Rs 19,300 belonging to Constable AY Kantapha of 127 Bn BSF and handed over to him under proper receipt by SHO police station, GRP Jammu, Inspector Neeraj Choudhary.
