Sir,
Almost all items of daily need are becoming far from the affordable reach of the common man. Instead of devising any solution, the UPA Government blessed with an Economist at the top assisted by veterans like Montek Singh and Chidambaram, only hopes and visibilities surround them. Recently Chidambaram has come out with some encouragement he feels about what he calls ‘some greenshots’ visible to him which may lead to a growth rate of 5 percent but on the condition that the investigating authorities (like CBI etc,) should be soft towards all commercial decisions taken by the Government.
He cautioned them not to treat such decisions as motivated or malicious. He also called upon Bankers to deal firmly with willful defaulters and hold hands of those who are reeling under the economic slowdown. Chidambarm’s feeling of encouragement is discouragement to the people as almost all promises, hopes, visibilities etc etc of Finance Ministry have proved otherwise. And most of the willful defaulters cannot stop hoping that for 2014 elections, more and more relief for debt repayments , even writing off may be one of the distributions of freebies by the present Government.
Yours etc…….
