JAMMU, Mar 28: Up in arms against opening of a wine shop in the locality, residents of Greater Kailash held a strong protest demonstration and demanded immediate shifting of the liquor shop from the area.
The protesting people included majority of women, who warned indefinite protest till the recently opened wine shop after its relocation from the Kunjwani National Highway, is not shifted.
Raising slogans against the Excise Department and local administration, the protesting people also staged a dharna on the road and disrupted vehicular movement. They appealed the higher authorities to look into the grievance of public and order immediate shifting of the wine shop from the locality.
