Great relief to JK students

The apex court of the country , keeping in view the prevailing situation in the State following abrogation of its special status has extended the deadline by one month for those students selected for Prime Minister’s Special Scholarship Scheme (PMSSS) , taking admission in various Engineering colleges in the country. This directive of the court is felt as a great relief by thousands of those students of the state selected for PMSSS and were supposed to take admissions by August 15 but most of them were not in a position to join the colleges due to the prevailing situation.
A request to that effect was made before the court that the last date for admissions to be extended which the court agreed to which stands extended till the 15th of the next month. It is a welcome development and a great amount of relief to the students who could feel that in their democratic country , judiciary was always ready and responsive to imparting justice and providing requisite relief and especially in the instant case , no student was going to suffer in getting admission because of prevailing situation in the State.
