JAMMU, Feb 3: In connection with celebration of 643th Prakash Divas of Satguru Ravi Dass Ji Maharaj , a grand Shoba Yatra cum Nagar Kirtan was organized by Shri Ravi Dass Satsang Society (SRDSS) R S Pura and Bishnah under the supervision of Guru Ravi Dass SS Trust, J&K.
The Shoba Yatra started from Shri Guru Ravi Dass Bhawan R S Pura and culminated at Guru Ravi Dass Bhawan Sikander Pur Kothey. It passed via Chohala Morh, Baggaa Morh, Kotli Shah Dovlia, Simbal Morh, Tali Morh, Miran Sahib, Maralian Dak bunglow, BSF Crossing and Shergadi. It was taken out under the aegis of Swami Gurdeep Giri Ji Maharaj who also flagged off the yatra at 1100 hours.
The Sangat and devotees from all walks of life gathered at Guru Ravi Dass Bhawan, R S Pura to participate in the Shoba Yatra. Various Sabhas participated in the yatra with well decorated jhankis. The bands of different schools also formed the part of the Jhanki and they made the Shoba Yatra more colorful. Many organizations welcomed the yatra enroute and distributed eatables among the Sangat.
Swami Gurdeep Ji delivered spiritual sermons and advised the people to shun the path of violence, social evils and follow the path shown by Satguru Ravi Dass Ji Maharaj. Meritorious students were also honoured on the occasion and the Guru Ka Langar was distributed among the Sangat.
Dilip Kumar chairman, BDC, Miran Sahib along with Sarpanches and other important senior citizens were also present on the occasion.
