Grameen Bank organizes Village Level Programmes

JAMMU, Aug 17: Financial Inclusion & Insurance Department under the chairmanship of Janak Raj Angural and in collaboration with NABARD organized village level programmes in Branch Offices Chan Gran & Raya under District Kathua and Samba.
The programmes were organised on the theme of ‘SHG member’s information about bank linkage, operation of loan accounts and prompt payment concept for NRLM subvention and other available support to SHGs’. Besides gathering of village the participants of the programme are Bank Officials, SHG members from the village, NGO workers and SRLM staff.
Romesh Chander, Sarpanch of Village Chan Gran, Kathua was the chief guest on the occasion and he highlighted developments in banking sector and latest schemes.
Sarpanchs, Panchs, SHG members and other dignitaries of the villages were also present on the occasion.
Chander informed the participants about benefits of social security schemes like (PMJJBY) Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, (PMSBY) Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, (APY) Atal Pension Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana.
Ajay Bharti, HOD FIID Department, J&K Grameen Bank said the programme intends to impact the gathering regarding importance of interactions between bankers, SHPIs including NGOs and SRLMs and SHG members resulting in better understanding and appreciation of mutual requirements, which will result in improved credit linkage as well as improved recovery. He stressed for availing benefits of bank schemes available in hassle free manner.
Branch Heads at their respective locations emphasized on various facilities of the Bank.
