NEW DELHI, Sept 29: The wholesale grains market held steady in thin trading today as prices moved in a tight range in the absence of worthwhile buying or selling and settled around previous levels.
Traders said adequate stocks position against scattered deals mainly kept grain prices quiet.
The following are today’s quotations per quintal:
Wheat MP (deshi) 1,950-2,150, Wheat dara (for mills) 1,470-1,475, Chakki atta (delivery) 1,475-1,480, Atta Rajdhani (10 kg) 200, Shakti bhog (10 kg) 200, Roller flour mill 810-830 (50 kg), Maida 900-910 (50 kg) and Sooji 960-980 (50kg).
Basmati rice (Lal Quila) 9,500, Shri Lal Mahal 9,500, Super Basmati Rice, 9,000, Basmati common new 5,500-5,600, Rice Pusa-(1121) new 4,700-5,500, Permal raw 1,950-2050, Permal wand 2,200-2,250, Sela 2,450-2,650 and Rice IR-8 1,500-1,600, Bajra 1,190-1,200, Jowar yellow 1,325-1,350, white 2,175-2,275, Maize 1,280-1,290, Barley 1,300-1,310, Rajasthan 1,080-1,090.
