JAMMU, Mar 27: Grain food kits were distributed amongst 30 BPL families residing in Badhori village of Bari Brahmana.
The kits were provided by Air Vistara, Jammu Team headed by Station Manager Archana Koul.
Distribution was held in presence Robin Hood a NGO and Gautam Naib Sarpanch of the village and other prominent persons of the village were also present.
Official spokesman of Air Vistara said that the COVID-19 pandemic left several families vulnerable without access to food. Aligned with Vistara’s philosophy of giving back to the local communities, the ‘Vistara Wellness Initiative’ was launched to extend support to these vulnerable communities with quick intervention. The objective was to support these communities’ basic nutrition and sanitization needs as they were highly affected due to the on-going pandemic, the spokesman added.
“In March 2021, Vistara’s teams from across the domestic network have come forward to support lives of those in need, demonstrating a true Tata spirit of going above and beyond their call of duty for communities. The teams are on their way to contributing over 1000 wellness kits across the country and this time, like-minded organizations like Pee Safe and Robin Hood army have also joined in on the initiative by contributing hygiene items and last-mile connectivity, respectively”, the spokesman informed.
“Vistara’s Jammu team was tasked with putting together 30 wellness kits as part of the Wellness Initiative. The team, while handling their day-to-day operations, contributed 30 wellness kits comprising more than 800 plus daily essentials impacting 120 lives. Pee Safe has teamed up with Vistara by contributing hygiene products, enabling wellbeing for all. The distribution of these kits was planned in partnership with the Robin Hood Army. The Vistara Wellness Initiative has been instrumental in uniting staff towards a good cause and infusing positivity while helping those in need”, the spokesman added.
