JAMMU, June 18: Government is well aware about its responsibilities towards the people.
This was stated by Former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta after touring Channi, Trikuta Nagar, Chatha and Sheikh Nagar Bahu areas falling in Gandhi Nagar Constituency.
He toured these areas to know about the welfare of the inhabitants and availability of essential items.
Gupta said that natural calamities and COVID-19 like epidemic will come but we will not allow people to suffer because of that.
“Under the leadership, effective policy and planning by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, we have been successful to control the spread of COVID-19 pandemic”, he said, adding that Indian should follow the preventive measures as notified by the Union Government or the respective State/UT Governments.
Gupta was accompanied by Vinay Gupta, Ankush Mahajan, Perminder Singh and other office bearers of BJP Jammu District team.
Gupta appealed to the volunteers to motivate the general public for making donations in Prime Minister’s CARE Fund which has been set up with primary objective of dealing with any kind of emergency or distress situation.
“PM Narendra Modi has always believed and expressed that public participation is the most effective way to mitigate any issue”, he added.
Later in the evening, a Delhi based NGO honoured Kavinder Gupta for his selfless serive during the pandemic viz for his role for facilitating return of Delhi residents who were stranded at Jammu.
The members of NGO said Gupta extended every best possible help to the stranded people including providing food items, arranging transport and getting travel passes from the Government.
