NEW DELHI : The Government is unlikely to concede to the demand from some ruling PDP legislators in Jammu and Kashmir for handing over of Parliament attack convict Afzal Guru’s mortal remains to his family. The Home Ministry sources today ruled out the possibility saying ‘there is no question of doing so’. A group of the PDP MLAs have reiterated at the party demand for the return of Guru’s mortal remains, who was hanged for his role in December 2001 terrorist attack on Parliament. The demands have reportedly been made in a note which is said to have been endorsement of eight to nine PDP MLAs. Many BJP leaders in the state have expressed their dismay over such demands from their coalition partner. (AGENCIES)
