POONCH, Apr 27: The Chief Education Officer Poonch, Mushtaq Ahmed today placed a Govt teacher, Mohd Rafiq, son of Mohd Abdullah from Jullahs, under suspension.
The teacher has been wanted by Poonch Police in a rape case of his girl-student of the same school where he is posted. The police registered an FIR No. 66/ 2018 against this teacher Rafiq and his nephew Azhar Mohd, son of Barkat of Salotri, three days ago and was searching for him. The Education Department taking cognizance of the matter suspended him today. He had forwarded 5-days’ leave to ZEO concerned but on the directions of CEO, his leave has also been cancelled, an official spokesman said.
The police parties were conducting raids at various places to nab the teacher who has gone underground. The police said this teacher alleged to have made objectionable video of this girl with his mobile phone and was black mailing her to up load the same in the social media if he narrated the issue to anybody. Adopting black-mailing tactics, this 29-year-old teacher also raped her student twice, she revealed in her statement. The Education Department is contemplating to recommend dismissal of this teacher to the higher authorities.
