Srinagar, Sept 5: Gove-rnment has sealed the illegal construction raised by Bhar-atiya Janta Party leader and MLC, Ajatshatru Singh, at Gupkar Road.
The information of sealing the structure of MLC has been furnished by the Divisional Commissioner Kashmir in his compliance report to the State High Court.
In its compliance report, the Divisional Commissioner Kashmir has stated that no further construction was being carried out at the site and the structure has been sealed. “It is further stated that the sealed portion of the area has been kept under the Superdari of Deputy Comm-issioner Srinagar through Naib Tehsildar Buchwara”, reads the report.
The Court asked the other violators who have raised the construction in and around the Dal lake during this unrest to furnish bail bond and surety bond for Rs. 50000 to the satisfaction of Registrar Judicial of the court.
About 23 violators were present before the court and all these were directed to remain present before the court continuously and file reply to the show caused notices as earlier served upon them as to why they be not punished under law for raising the constructions despite court orders.
Court also issued bailable warrants to those violators who were not present before the court.”Other respondents who figure in the list shall be summoned through bailable warrants in the amount of Rs. 50000. The concerned SSP shall be personally responsible for execution of all these warrants”, directed the Division Bench of Justice MH Attar and Justice Ali Mohammad Magrey.
Meanwhile, court granted time to BJP MLC for filing response to the statement of Enforcement Officer LAWDA. It is mentioned here that Enforcement Officer of LAWDA had submitted that construction is going on at the property belongs to MLC at Gupkar Road and despite trying to stop the said construction by Enforcement Wing the same is going on.
Court had also summoned Youth Services and Sports Minister Imran Raza Ansari for making abusive and unparliamentarily language against Enfor-cement Officer on phone. Today Ansari submitted his reply to the contempt proceedings through his counsel.
Ansari, in his reply, submitted that the Enforcement Officer used and hurled abusive language upon him. “…..besides being the mature personality tried to cordially and humbly enquire from Enforcement Officer LAWDA with regard to firing incident upon which Enforcement Officer LAWDA extended life threats to him….” Ansari submitted in his 7 page reply.
It may be mentioned here that Ansari was arrayed as party respondent in the PIL and contempt proceedings were initiated against him after the Enforcement Officer submitted a complaint against him mentioning therein that the said Minister is shielding the violators as such had called the Enforcement Officer on phone.
The Court asked the counsel of Minister to furnish the reply to the Enforcement Officer LAWDA for filing his response to the said reply by next date.
