Education Department is usually expected to take extra care of the children studying in primary classes in respect of providing to them the minimum required facilities of the school building with class rooms where they could sit comfortably and read and learn. There is an instance where the school building collapsed due to an earthquake nearly four years back in Chabber Doda. Till now, neither the said building is rebuilt nor a nearby building taken on rent to accommodate the children ‘displaced’ due to the natural calamity and total recklessness of the concerned authorities were adding to their woes. This school was catering to the needs of not only of the Chabber area but of many adjoining villages.
The affected students have been shifted to Govt. High School Malwana where due to poor road connectivity, these children are facing lot of hardships. Besides, treading the difficult road of more than four kilometres to reach the school at Malwana, the children walking on foot face lot of problems. The residents and in particular the parents of the affected children, want the building to be repaired at an early date so that the hardships and difficulties faced by the students come to an end. We urge the concerned authorities to look into the problem and resolve it at an early date.
