Srinagar, Aug 10: The Government has sanctioned the creation of 105 posts of Assistant Professors for seven new Government Medical Colleges (GMCs) in J&K.

According to a Government Order, each Medical College will get 15 posts across various disciplines, including Anatomy, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Microbiology, Community Medicine, General Medicine, Pediatrics, General Surgery, Orthopedics, ENT, Ophthalmology, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Anesthesiology, and Radio Diagnosis.
A total of 105 posts have been sanctioned, with 15 posts for each of the seven Medical Colleges in Anantnag, Baramulla, Doda, Kathua, Rajouri, Handwara, and Udhampur, order read.
Officials said the move is aimed to strengthen faculty availability in the new GMCs and enhance medical education and healthcare services across Jammu and Kashmir.
