Govt releases Rs 50 cr for ‘B2V’ Progs

JAMMU, Dec 17: The Finance Department today ordered release of Rs 50 crore for carrying out development works identified during ‘Back to Village’ programmes.
Rs 2.5 crore each have been released in favour of the two Divisional Commissioners of Jammu and Srinagar.
Rs 3 crore each were released in favour of the District Development Commissioners (DDCs) of 15 districts including Kathua, Jammu, Samba, Udhampur, Reasi, Poonch, Doda, Ramban, Kishtwar, Srinagar, Kulgam, Pulwama, Shopian, Budgam and Ganderbal.
The Finance Department order issued by Financial Commissioner Dr Arun Kumar Mehta said the Divisional Commissioners of Jammu/Kashmir and the District Development Commissioners will identify high priority works with high impact and visibility to be implemented as part of ‘Back to Village’ Programme in convergence with other schemes on the basis of reports finalized by the visiting officers.
