SRINAGAR, June 20: The employees of Government Press, Srinagar today urged the Minister of State for Cooperatives, Finance, Planning, ARI, Printing and Stationery, Dr Manohar Lal Sharma to intervene and redress the demands of the employees working in the department.
In a statement, a spokesman of Government Press Employees Association (GPEA) said that the demand was made during a general session chaired by GPEA President, Syed Muzamil Rizvi. The spokesman alleged that General Manager, Press, Srinagar was victimizing the employees and asked him to desist from such activities.
“The Government especially the minister concerned should step in and save Government Press, Srinagar from further deterioration. Some of the demands of the employees of the department are pending for a long time now and these need to be settled for a prosperous as well as better future,” said the spokesman.
