JAMMU, July 30: District Development Commissioner Jammu, Simrandeep Singh has ordered suspension of Junior Assistant of Higher Secondary School Kathar (Manwal) in Dansal tehsil for sexually molesting a woman.
According to an official order, a complaint was lodged in the office of District Development Commissioner Jammu by a woman, a resident of Pathwar village against Subash Chander, son of Channi Ram of Pathwar, Junior Assistant at HSS Kathar (Manwal) alleging that the Junior Assistant had sexually molested her and outraged her modesty on April 7, 2016.
Even an FIR was lodged in Police Station Manwal on the same day.
Acting on the complaint, the DDC constituted four member Enquiry Committee, which in its report recommended action against the charged officer.
Now, in terms of powers vested in him under Schedule 18 of JK CSR read with CC&A Rules, the District Development Commissioner has ordered suspension of Junior Assistant Subash Chander with immediate effect.
A departmental enquiry will be initiated against him immediately and he shall remain attached in the office of Chief Education Officer Jammu pending the enquiry which shall be conducted by the DDC, reads the order.
