Srinagar, June 23: Government today said it is mulling to wind up the Jammu and Kashmir State Overseas Employment Corporation Limited (JKSOECL) as no youth has been provided job by the Corporation.
“The Corporation is functional at present. However, in view of the fact that no youth has been provided job by the Corporation since its inception within or outside the country, the proposal regarding winding up of the Corporation is under active consideration of the Government,” said Minister Incharge Labour and Employment in the Lower House in written reply to a question of lawmaker Zafar Iqbal Manhas.
The Minister said the Corporation was established in the year 2010 to facilitate employment of the unemployed youth within and outside the country.
