Absconding notorious criminal arrested with heroin

JAMMU, June 23: Police arrested an absconding notorious criminal along with 15 grams heroin.
As per police sources, based on specific inputs, a team from Narwal police post conducted raid in Transport Nagar area to arrest an absconding notorious criminal.
On seeing police cops, the absconder tried to escape from the spot but the cops chased and nabbed him.
The accused has been identified as Dilbagh Singh, son of Janak Singh, a resident of Ward Number 4, Simbal Camp.
During checking, police recovered 15 grams heroin from his possession.
A case under FIR Number 123/16 under Section 8/21 narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered against the accused at Trikuta Nagar police station and investigation started.
He has been involved in 8 cases prior to this one and the maximum stands registered against him with police station Miran Sahib.
Further questioning of the accused is going on.
Police team led by Incharge Narwal police post SI Waseem Mehraj and assisted by Constables Arjun Singh and Gurnaam Singh made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Trikuta Nagar Inspector Kuldeep Khajuria, SDPO East Chandan Kohli and SP South Shaazad Salaria.
