JAMMU, Apr 18: Former ministers and senior Congress leaders, Mula Ram and Raman Bhalla today alleged that BJP Government lacks strategy to tackle prevailing crisis in the Jammu and Kashmir.
Both senior vice presidents of PCC Mula Ram and Raman Bhalla along with NSUI National president Neeraj Kundan, Jammu District Rural president Hari Singh Chib, PCC secretary Shashi Sharma, PCC  Member Dawarka Choudhary, NSUI State president Sunny Parihar and Suman Jyoti along with other leaders today under JKPCC’s 45 days programme “mission Panchayat Ki Aur” visited border Panchayat Treva in Arnia to assess the ground situation, besides the developmental issues concerning people, at grass root level.
Mula Ram in his address said that J&K has witnessed ugliest situation due to the wrong policies adopted by the Centre, as a result, people were feeling betrayed and cheated. He said the BJP leadership has failed to deliver on its electoral promises and accused the saffron party of “misleading” the people of Jammu.
He said that the main motive of the BJP is to mislead the people of Jammu so as to divert their attention from the real issues of public interest. BJP, whom people of Jammu have voted to power, should not shift its responsibility, but concentrate on the fulfilment of their electoral promises, he alleged.
Former minister claimed that the government has “broken all records of profiteering” by exorbitantly raising excise duty instead of passing on the benefits to common people, adding that every household was hurting due to the increased price of gas cylinders.
Speaking on the occasion, Bhalla said Congress amidst deadly COVID-19 situation first launched 45 days successful campaign across J&K to wake govt regarding plight of people of J&K, but this callous Govt did not move an inch to address public issues and left them at the mercy of God. Now after Govt’s persistent failures, Congress keeping in view the grievances of aggrieved people has yet again started another 45 days programme to highlight public issues.
“We are not immune to COVID-19 pandemic but as our moral responsibility, we are trying to reach every nook and corner of J&K to listen to their grievances and highlighting the same on concerned platform.  Congress has been forced by BJP Govt to risk lives amidst surge in COVID-19 cases as BJP representatives only busy in issuing tall statements praising their govt on daily basis,” Bhalla remarked.
DCC Jammu Rural president Hari Singh Chib and NSUI president Neeraj Kundan also spoke on the occasion and exposed BJP led Govt for its failures on the fronts, especially on B2V programme which have shown only on papers.
