JAMMU, Feb 16: The Government today ordered the freezing of boundaries of the Administrative units till completion of Census 2021.
“In exercise of powers conferred by clause (iv) of Rule 8 of the Census Rules, 1990, and in suppression of earlier notifications issued on the subject, the Government hereby freezes the boundaries of Districts/Tehsils, Municipalities, Towns, Revenue Villages, and other admin units in the whole UT of Jammu and Kashmir with effect from 01.07.2024 till completion of Census 2021,” read a notification issued by Secretary to Government, Planning Development & Monitoring Department.
