Govt forms Panel to verify service records

JAMMU, Mar 17: The General Administrative Department of J&K Government has accorded sanction for constitution of Committees at Administrative Department and District/ Directorate Level, for verifying service records of employees whose initial appointment orders are available, albeit, the promotion orders are not available.
An order in this regard issued by Sanjeev Verma, Commissioner/Secretary to the Government stated that the Committee at Administrative Department Level shall comprise of Special Secretary/Additional Secretary as Chairman of the Committee and Director, Finance/FA & CAO and Nodal Officer, JK-HRMS as Members.
Also for the Committee at District/Directorate Level, the Chairman will be Deputy Commissioner/Head of the Department concerned while Director, Finance/FA & CAO/Accounts Officer and an officer not below the rank of Deputy Secretary shall be its Members.
The order further stated that the Committees shall verify the promotions of the employees in accordance with their entries recorded in service books vis-a-vis their promotion order and other service record available with the department/directorates.
The Committees shall also furnish a report along with recommendations to the Administrative Department on case basis, with explicit reasons, where discrepancy with respect to promotions is observed.
Salaries shall be drawn only after the approval of concerned Administrative Secretary, in respect of only those employees whose initial appointment orders were available and promotions are in order.
