Govt forms committees for implementation of Kissan Sampark Abhiyan

JAMMU, May 10: For successful implementation of `Kissan Sampark Abhiyan’ in Jammu and Kashmir, the Union Territory Government today ordered constitution of District Level Monitoring Committees.
Headed by the concerned Additional District Development Commissioner, these committees shall ensure organization of orientation programme for farmers at the specific venues and on the dates earmarked for the same.
The committees shall also ensure pooling of resources, logistics and judicial expenditures for the orientation programmes with prior publicity for maximum participation of the farmers.
District Information officer and all Chief/District officers of Agriculture Production Department are Members of the committees besides co-opted members with domain knowledge while District Nodal Officer (to be nominated by Agriculture Production Department) shall be the member secretary.
