Govt forms committee for Medical Care for G20 Summit

Srinagar, Dec 22: The Health and Medical Education (H&ME) Department has formed a committee for the Medical Care arrangements for delegates during G20 Summit set to be held next year.
In this regard, the Government has sanctioned approval to the constitution of the committee comprising 14 members.
The Secretary, H&ME has been designated as the Chairman of the committee, while Director, SKIMS, Soura, Principal, Govt. Medical College, Srinagar, Principal, Govt. Medical College, Jammu, Principal, Govt. Medical College, Anantnag, Principal, Govt. Medical College, Baramulla, Principal, Govt. Medical College, Doda, Principal, Govt. Medical College, Kathua, Principal, Govt. Medical College, Rajouri, Director General, Family Welfare & Immunization, J&K, Mission Director, National Health Mission, J&K, Director, Health Services, Jammu, Director, Health Services, Kashmir, and Director, Ayush, J&K have all been designated as members of the committee.
It has been stated that the committee shall prepare the road map for implementation of the SOPs framed by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India for medical arrangements for the G20 Summit in the UT of J&K.
It has also been mentioned that the Additional Mission Director, Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission-Single Point of Contact and Director, Health Services, Jammu/ Kashmir (Divisional level Coordinators)-have already been nominated for ensuring necessary coordination for providing medical care arrangements in respect of delegates/ participants during the meetings organized under G20 Summit.
