Govt ensured equitable development of all regions: Slathia

VIJAYPUR, Aug 17: Former Minister & MLA Vijaypur Surjeet Singh Slathia today inaugurated Government New Type Primary Health Centre at Bari Khad Block Purmandal in Vijaypur.
District Development Commissioner, Samba Mubarak Singh & Director Health Services, Jammu Dr. B.S.Pathania were also present on the occasion.
The Health Centre has been completed at an estimated cost of Rs.90 lakh.
Addressing the gathering, MLA said that with the completion of this project the people of the adjoining villages viz Barjani, Shah-Da-Talab, Bari Khad, Smailpur, Meen Sarkar & Meen Charkan would be benefitted.
He highlighted the achievements of Omar led Coalition Government during the last five and half years and also thanked him for creation of new administrative units where under Bari Brahamana has been declared as Tehsil, adding that the people of the area would be benefitted .
Slathia said that the Omar led Government has ensured equitable development of all the regions of the State, adding that the main attention has been given by the Government for up-gradation of the basic facilities like quality education, water and power supply, better medical health care facilities for the benefit of the people of remote and far flung areas.
The people of the area submitted a charter of demands which included provision of Tubewell, Veterinary Hospital, LPG distribution point. Slathia assured them that their demands shall be redressed at the earliest.
He sought people’s whole hearted support to strengthen the hands of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah.
Among others Bhagwan Singh, Vijay Singh, Raman Gupta, Mohinder Gupta, Ghulam Nabi, Haji Aziz Din, Ghulam Qadir, Surinder Gupta, Sodagar Mal, Panches & Sarpanches & District Officers of different departments were also present on the occasion.
Earlier, a road show organized by the locals started from Bari Brahmana and culminated at Bari Khad.
