Govt employees demand 12.5% SDA

LEH, Mar 5: A delegation of Government Employees Association, Leh headed by its president, Tashi Chhosphel, called on Finance Minister, Abdul Rahim Rather, here today and urged him to grant 12.5% Special Duty Allowance (SDA) to the State Government employees working in Ladakh.
The Urban Development Minister, Nawang Ragzin Jora who was heading the employees’ delegation strongly advocated for genuineness of the demand of 12.5% SDA in favour of the State Government employees working in Ladakh.
Jora apprised the Finance Minister that the Central Government employees working in Ladakh have been enjoying 12.5% SDA since 6th Pay Commission came into effect few years back.
The Finance Minister assured the delegation that the case would be looked into.
