Govt eases business doing under new industrial policy: AC General

JAMMU, Dec 2: Stating that Jammu and Kashmir will soon become a hub of industries, Assistant Commissioner (AC) General, Jammu Rakesh Kumar Dubey today said that the Government is trying its best to ease out business doing under new industrial policy not only for the natives of the Union Territory but also for the business community globally.
“The new industrial policy launched couple of months back by the Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha will be proved as a booster to revive the industrial sector that will help to double our economy and also boost the tourism industry”, Dubey said while speaking in his opening remarks at Logistics Conclave, organised by the DHL Logistics Private Limited here.
Jammu is fast becoming a hub of industries sector with promotion of big as well small scale industries and the manufacturing units, said Dubey.
He said that the administration is actively trying to establish a framework to support such activities and facilitate the local businesses to bring it at par on the global level.
“The new industrial policy is specifically aimed to provide support and flourish the businesses fraternity and its welfare,” he said.
Many prominent business personalities and traders dealing in import and export business attended the conclave.
Sudeep Raina, Regional Director, North and East India, DHL Logistics Private Limited also spoke about bringing in efficient logistics solutions for the customers based in Jammu to get the global market closer.
The conclave also witnessed interaction session between participants and the dignitaries.
