JAMMU, Aug 15: Different Government Departments organized programmes to celebrate the 78th Independence Day and hoisted the National Flag at various places.
The High Court of J&K, and Ladakh celebrated 78th Independence Day and main function was held at High Court Wing, Srinagar wherein Justice Tashi Rabstan, Chief Justice (A) hoisted the National Flag. The event was attended by Justice Atul Sreedharan, Justice Sanjeev Kumar, Justice Vinod Chatterji Koul, Justice Puneet Gupta, Justice Javed Iqbal Wani, Justice Mohd. Akram Chowdhary and Justice Moksha Khajuria Kazmi. Advocate General of the J&K as well senior advocates, Registrar General, judicial officers and the officials of Registry of main wing and Srinagar wing, Principal District and Sessions Judge, Srinagar with the judicial officers from his District were also present on the occasion.
The 78th Independence Day was celebrated with great joy in Jammu Wing of High Court of J&K and Ladakh. The celebration commenced with hoisting of National Flag by Justice Sindhu Sharma followed by salute ceremony which was conducted by the contingent of CRPF personnel. Justice Rajnesh Oswal, Justice Sanjay Dhar, Justice Rahul Bharti, Justice Wasim Sadiq Nargal, Justice Rajesh Sekhri and Justice Mohd. Yousuf Wani, Sanjay Parihar, Principal, District and Sessions Judge, Jammu, Bala Jyoti Special Judge Anti-Corruption/CBI Cases, Y.P Bourney Director, Judicial Academy, Sandeep Kour Registrar Judicial, Jammu Wing, Prem Sagar, Secretary, High Court Legal Service Committee, Rajni Sharma, Joint Registrar Judicial/Protocol, Jammu Wing, Vikram Sharma, president, J&K High Court Bar Association, Jammu, Additional Advocate Generals, Senior Advocates, members of the Bar Association and other officers and officials of the Registry graced the occasion by their presence.
Independence Day was celebrated in District Court Complex Kathua with full zeal and enthusiasm. The event commenced with unfurling of National Flag by Ashok Kumar Shavan, Principal District and Sessions Judge Kathua who is also Chairman District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Kathua. This was followed by reciting of the National Anthem by the gathering. At the end of the programme the participants were felicitated with prizes by the Chairman DLSA Kathua. The programme was attended by Surinder Kumar Thappa, Special Mobile Magistrate Kathua, Cheena Sumbria, Munsiff JMIC Kathua and Neena Thakur, District Mobile Magistrate Kathua, Prosecuting Officers of District Court Complex Kathua, president, senior and young members of Bar Association Kathua, staff members of both District Court Kathua and DLSA Kathua, police personnel and para Legal Volunteers of DLSA Kathua.
The 78th Independence Day was celebrated in District Court Complex Kargil where Principal District and Sessions Judge Kargil, Malik Shabir Ahmad hoisted the National Flag. Fariqa Nazir, Chief Judicial Magistrate Kargil; APP Kargil; president Bar Association Kargil; Bar Members; Court Staff; Para Legal Volunteers and Litigants were also present on the occasion.
The 78th Independence Day of India was celebrated with zeal at District Court Complex Janipur. The theme for the Independence Day 2024 celebration was ‘Viksit Bharat.’ Sanjay Parihar, Chairman DLSA, (Pr. Distt. & Sessions Judge) Jammu hoisted the National Flag. The welcome address was given by Smriti Sharma, Secretary DLSA Jammu and Sanjay Parihar, Chairman DLSA recalled the sacrifices made by freedom fighters.
The 78th Independence Day 2024 was celebrated at District Court Complex (Head Quarter) Samba with enthusiasm. The event commenced with the unfurling of National Flag by Adnan Sayeed, Principal District & Sessions Judge Samba who is also Chairman DLSA Samba and this was followed by reciting of National Anthem by the gathering. The event witnessed the presence of Preet Simran K. Grover, Chief Judicial Magistrate, Samba, Rekha Kapoor Nischal, Secretary DLSA Samba, Ananta Raina, Addl. Spl. Mobile Magistrate Samba, Urvashi Raina, Addl Munsiff Samba, Himani Parihar Munsiff Samba, Trainee Judges, officers from the Prosecuting Wing, Samba, president, senior and young members of Bar Association Samba, Police personnel and staff members of both District Court Samba and DLSA Samba and others.
On 78th Independence Day, Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Ramesh Kumar, hoisted the Tricolour in the premises of Divisional Commissioner Office Jammu. All the officials and staff members participated in the celebrations. Additional Commissioner, Assistant Commissioner, Deputy Director planning and other senior officials were also present.
The 78th Independence Day was celebrated at Police Technical Training Institute (PTTI) Vijaypur. Principal PTTI Vijaypur hoisted the National Flag and highlighted the importance of Independence Day. Among others present on the occasion were Zia-Ul-Haq (Dy. SP Outdoor), Asif Iqbal (Sr. PO), Inspector Surrinder Singh (CDI), Inspector Javeed Ahmad (RI), Inspector Ram Lal (CLI), SI Sulinder Singh (SM-Outdoor) and SI Shakeel Singh (LO).
The Directorate of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) celebrated 78th Independence Day at Media Complex Srinagar and Director Information, Jatin Kishore hoisted the National Flag.
The Independence Day was celebrated with patriotic fervor at Directorate of Horticulture Jammu with chief guest C L Sharma, Director Horticulture Jammu, unfurled the Tricolour and took the salute.
Speaking on the occasion, C L Sharma recounted the rapid growth of India over 78 years of freedom. He also listed achievements recorded in Horticulture sector on the development front. Remembering the contribution of freedom fighters, the Director said freedom is hard earned through innumerable sacrifices made by people who rose above everything and contributed selflessly for the cause. He also exhorted upon the people to follow the ideals of freedom fighters and never forget the supreme sacrifices made by forefathers who dreamt of an India making strides in every sphere.
Further, a Tiranga Rally and plantation drive were also organized. Prominent among those present on the occasion were Joint Director Horticulture, Deputy Director Horticulture, Chief Horticulture Officers Jammu & Doda, CCI- Jammu, Assistant Director Horticulture and others.
Secretary Legislative Assembly, Manoj Kumar Pandit hoisted the National Flag on 78th Independence Day in the lawns of the Assembly Complex Srinagar.
The 78th Independence Day was celebrated in the presence of Jail Staff, CRPF Personnel D-Coy, 246 Bn and Jail Inmates at District Jail Jammu. The celebration started by unfurling of National Flag by Superintendent Jail, Harish Kotwal which was followed by singing of National Anthem.
The Independence Day was celebrated at Directorate of Health Services Jammu with great patriotic fervour. Director Health Services Jammu, Dr. Rakesh Magotra unfurled the National Flag.
District Health Society Doda celebrated the Independence Day 2024 with great fervour. Chief Medical Officer Doda, Dr Om Kumar hoisted the Tricolor which was followed by soulful rendition of National Anthem.
Similar celebrations were held in Block Hqrs at Assar, Bhaderwah, Gandoh, Ghat and Thathri, where Block Medical Officers hoisted the National Flag.
Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Reasi celebrated 78th Independence Day at KVK, Reasi campus with great fervor. The programme was organized under the guidance of Vice Chancellor, Prof. B.N Tripathi and supervision of Director Extension, Prof. Amrish Vaid of SKUAST-Jammu. Chief Scientist KVK, Reasi, Dr. Banarsi Lal inaugurated the programme.
The 78th Independence Day was celebrated with great zeal by the trainees, staff and faculty members of Soil Conservation Training School (SCTS), Miran Sahib. Principal of SCTS hoisted the National Flag.
On Independence Day, Director Horticulture Kashmir, Z.A Bhat hoisted the National Flag at Horticulture complex Rajbagh. Addressing on the occasion the Director hoped that the year will usher the country into a new phase of development.
The Sericulture Development Department J&K celebrated 78th Independence Day with great enthusiasm at its headquarters in Tulsi Bagh, Srinagar. The event was marked by the unfurling of National Flag by Ajaz Ahmad Bhat, Director Sericulture J&K.
J&K Bank celebrated the 78th Independence Day with great fervour. MD & CEO, Baldev Prakash hoisted the National Flag at Bank’s Corporate Headquarters in the presence of Executive Director, Sudhir Gupta, General Managers, Deputy General Managers, Departmental Heads and other senior officers of the Bank. MD & CEO felicitated the persons-of-distinction from the support staff posted at CHQ by handing over a Letter of Appreciation as memento for their exemplary services during the year.
The flag-hoisting ceremonies were held at all the controlling offices of the Bank across the country with Divisional, Zonal and Cluster Heads raising the tri-colour at their respective workplaces.
SCERT J&K celebrated 78th Independence Day with enthusiastic display of patriotic spirit. Prof. (Dr.) Parikshat Singh Manhas, Director, SCERT J&K and H.R Pakhroo, Joint Director, Central Move Office were present on the occasion. The event commenced with the hoisting of National Flag by Prof. (Dr.) Sindhu Kapoor, Joint Director of Jammu Division. In her address, Prof. Kapoor lauded national heroes whose sacrifices secured India’s independence.
J&K Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) celebrated 78th Independence Day with great enthusiasm. Director JKEDI, Rajinder Sharma hoisted the National Flag.
In Kashmir, JKEDI employees attended the Independence Day main function at Bakshi Stadium, Srinagar while most of the staff placed in District Nodal Offices participated in the celebrations at their respective districts.
On 78th Independence Day, Director Youth Services & Sports J&K, Subash C Chibber unfurled the National Flag at Sports Complex Wazir in Srinagar. The Colourful Programme was also attended by soldiers of 117 Battalion F and 14 Battalion SSB.
On Independence Day, J&K Waqf Board Chairperson, Dr Syed Darakhshan Andrabi unfurled the Tricolor in Anantnag during an event organised by J&K Waqf Board at Islamia Hanfia Waqf Higher Secondary Institute. Dr Andrabi hailed the youth of J&K for embracing the path of development and peace.
Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Income Tax Office, Katra. The National Flag was hoisted by Income Tax Officer Katra, Vijay Choudhary and this was followed by National Anthem recitation. On this occasion, the Income Tax Officer made all aware of the role of Direct Taxes in nation building.
Dulhasti Power Station celebrated 78th Independence Day with great enthusiasm. The celebration began with the unfurling of National Flag by Suresh Kumar, Group General Manager (Incharge). Speaking on the occasion, Kumar paid tribute to the freedom fighters and the brave martyred soldiers. K.V Siva Kumar, General Manager (Electrical), Mukesh Kumar, General Manager (Mech.), Praveen Kumar Jain, General Manager (Civil), Shivanshu Rastogi, Deputy General Manager (Finance), Pankaj Kumar Gupta, Deputy General Manager (Civil), Sanjay Kumar Gupta, Group Senior Manager (Elect.), Ajay Kumar Singh, Manager (HR), Commandant, Officers and Jawans of CISF, Principal, Kendriya Vidyalaya and others were also present on the occasion.
NHPC celebrated 78th Independence Day with patriotic fervour at NHPC Corporate Office, Faridabad. The celebrations began with the hoisting of National Flag by R.K Chaudhary, CMD, NHPC and recitation of National Anthem. R.P Goyal, Director (Finance), Sanjay Kumar Singh, Director (Projects), Santosh Kumar, CVO, NHPC and other senior officers were also present on the occasion.
NHPC Regional Office, Jammu celebrated the 78th Independence Day with great enthusiasm at office complex Narwal. Ram Swaroop, ED, Regional Office, Jammu hoisted the National Flag in the presence of CISF & DGR security personnel, employees and family members of employees. Ram Swaroop, Executive Director, Region-Jammu appreciated all employees for their dedication in duties and encouraged them to contribute further for bringing more success for the Corporation. The event was also attended by P. Sathyamurthi, GM (HR), Satnam Singh, GM (Civil) and other senior officers and employees.
POWERGRID Northern Region Transmission System-II celebrated 78th Independence Day with patriotism at all the establishments across the region. At Regional Office Jammu, Rajesh Kumar, Executive Director, POWERGRID Northern Region-II hoisted the Tri-colour in the presence of Sangeeta Kumar, Patron Shrishti Mahila Samiti, senior officials, employees of the company and others.
Similar functions were organized at all establishments of POWERGRID in the Region comprising of States of HP, Punjab, Haryana & UT of J&K, Ladakh and Chandigarh.
CVPPL celebrated the 78th Independence Day with great pride and patriotic fervour. Ramesh Mukhiya, Managing Director hoisted the National Flag at Corporate Office, Jammu. MD (CVPPL) paid tributes to the freedom fighters and martyrs who sacrificed their lives for Nation’s Independence.
Independence Day celebrations were also held at Pakal Dul, Kiru, Kwar and Kirthai-II HE Projects at Kishtwar.
Ranbir Government Press celebrated 78th Independence Day and the National Flag was hoisted by Parshotam Sharma, General Manager of the Press.
