JAMMU, Mar 22: The Finance Department today delegated financial powers for technical sanction of original soil conservation works to the officers.
The Director Agriculture will have full powers to accord technical sanction to detailed estimates of costs of original soil conservation works in each individual case subject to budgetary provisions.
The Divisional Soil Conservation Officers will have powers up to Rs one lakh while Assistant Soil Conservation Officer, Director CAD, Deputy Director CAD and Assistant Soil Conservation Officer will have powers up to Rs one lakh.
An order to this effect was issued today by Financial Commissioner (Finance Department) Dr Arun Kumar Mehta.
