JAMMU, July 16: The first academic session of the newly established Government Degree Colleges Kunjwani, Marh, Nagrota and Sidhra started today.
Prof (Dr) Manoj Kumar Dhar, Vice-Chancellor of University of Jammu inaugurated the Government Degree College at Kunjwani while as Secretary Higher Education Department Talat Parvez Rohella inaugurated Government Degree Colleges at Marh, Nagrota and Sidhra.

Director College Development Council, University of Jammu Prof R K Gangoo, Principal of Government College of Education Dr Sangita Nagari, Principal of Government College for Women Parade Ground, Dr Hemla Aggarwal, Prof S P Saraswat, Nodal Principal GGM Science College and Dr P K Sharma, Principal Government MAM College and others were present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Rohella interacted with the people of the area and informed them about the future plans related to starting streams in these colleges. He also interacted with the students of the newly established colleges and encouraged them to take the benefit of these colleges. He emphasized on imparting computer knowledge to all the students.
He informed the students that Government has introduced commerce subject in the GDC Sidhra and Kunjwani.
