JAMMU, Dec 21: Government today constituted Project Screening Committee for monitoring and reviewing implementation of Mitigation Plan and components of Environment and Management Plan like Biodiversity Conservation Management Plan and Catchment Area Treatment Plan (CAT) for Kishtwar High Altitude National Park.
Headed by Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (HoFF), J&K, the committee will periodically monitor and review progress of implementation of Mitigation Plan for Kishtwar High Altitude National Park (KHANP) and Environment Management Plan (EMP). Besides, it will provide oversight and policy guidance for implementation of the project.
Chief Wildlife Warden, J&K; Chief Executive Officer, CAMPA; Director, Soil & Water Conservation Department, J&K; Director Environment, Ecology & Remote Sensing Department, J&K; Member Secretary, Pollution Control Committee, J&K; Managing Director, CVPP or his representative; representative of H&ME Department, Revenue Department, Disaster Management, Relief, Rehabilitation & Reconstruction Department and Fisheries Department are Members of the committee while Regional Wildlife Warden is its Member Secretary.
