Govt constitutes implementing agencies for PMRSSM in J&K

JAMMU, Aug 27: For the implementation of Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Swasthya Suraksha Mission (PMRSSM) in Jammu and Kashmir, the State Government has accorded sanction for constitution of State Health Agency/ Governing Council, Executive Committee and District Implementation Unit (DIU).
Headed by the Chief Secretary as ex-officio Chairperson, the Governing Council shall be comprising Administrative Secretaries of Finance Department, Health & Medical Education, Labour & Employment Department, Rural Development & Panchayti Raj Department and Information Technology Department, Director SKIMS, Principals of GMC Jammu/Srinagar, Director Health Service Jammu/Srinagar, Mission Director NHM as the ex-officio Member and Director Family Welfare/CEO of the Society as the ex-officio Member Secretary while representative of National Health Agency and subject matter expert, as nominated by the State Government, shall be the special invitees.
The State Health Agency shall perform all key functions relating to delivery of services under PMRSSM, such as data sharing, verification/validation of families and members, awareness generation, monitoring etc.
The Executive Committee shall be headed by the Director Family Welfare/CEO of the Society as its Chairperson while representatives of the Mission Director NHM and Director Health Service, Jammu/Kashmir shall be the Members and Chief Accounts Officer of State Health Agency as the Member Secretary.
The Executive Committee shall select Health Insurance providers and Health Service Providers under PMRSSM, exercise control and discipline over employees of the society, initiate action to recover any amount due to the Society, etc.
Similarly, the District Implementation Unit (DIU), headed by the Deputy Commissioner concerned as the Chairman and Chief Medical Officer as the Vice-Chairman, shall be comprising Dy CMO as District Nodal Officer, BMO as Block Nodal Officer, one District Programme Coordinator, one District Information System Manager, a District Grievance Manager and an Ayushman Mitra on contractual basis.
DIU shall support the implementation of the scheme in every district included in the scheme and coordinate with the implementing support agency/Insurer and the network hospital to ensure effective implementation.
DIU shall send review reports periodically and coordinate with District CMO team.
