JAMMU, Oct 29: The Government today constituted a ‘State Level Coordination Group’ headed by Additional DGP Armed SM Sahai and a Special Cell in the Home Department headed by IGP Yogender Koul, Commissioner, Civil Military Liaison for better coordination in the Assembly elections.
The ‘State Level Coordination Group’ headed by Sahai comprised IGP Personnel, Police Headquarters, IG CRPF Jammu, IG (Operations) CRPF Kashmir, IG BSF Jammu, IG BSF Kashmir, IGP Kashmir Zone, IGP Jammu Zone, DIG ITBP, DIG SSB, DIG CISF and Commandant RPF.
The Group has been constituted for better coordination and proper liaison in respect of deployment of Central Armed Police Force (CAPFs), SAPs and IR battalions in connection with forthcoming Assembly elections.
The Group will ensure timely de-induction and assist in making necessary arrangements for accommodation, transport and other logistics to the forces, an official order said.
The Special Cell in the Home Department headed by Yogender Koul, IGP and Commissioner, Civil Military Liaison comprised Sudershan Kumar, Additional Secretary, Mohit Raina, Under Secretary, Sanjay Pandita, Swami Raj, Vijay Ambardar, Fariq Ali Qureshi and Joginder Singh.
The Special Group will coordinate with other departments/agencies in connection with the Assembly elections.
