UDHAMPUR: Minister for PHE, Irrigation and Flood control, Sham Lal Choudhary today said that sustained efforts are afoot to accelerate the pace of development on various projects to provide all modern facilities and civic amenities to the people of the State.
The Minister was speaking at a public meeting convened to take stock of problems and demands of the people here today.
He said that the top most priority of the present Government is to meet all developmental aspirations of the people and requisite steps are underway to ensure equitable Development of all regions.
He said that PHE department is making concerted efforts to achieve tangible results on ground and ensure every household gets clean drinking water and other basic amenities. He assured that the problems pertaining to PHE, Irrigation and Flood control would be addressed at the earliest.
He also laid emphasis on the concerned officers to reach out to the people and organize public meetings for on-spot redressal of various problems being faced by them.
Later while addressing the gathering after inaugurating MODI fest, the Minister highlighted various schemes of the Central Government and exhorted upon the people to come forward and avail the benefits of these welfare schemes.
He said that the present government under the leadership of Prime Minister has focused on the fast pace development of the State.
He also highlighted various schemes like Jan Dhan Yojna, Atal pension Yojna, Pradhan Mantra Jeevan Jyoti Yojna, Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojna etc. launched by the Government and stressed on active public participation in them.
