Govt committed to development of backward areas at par with towns: Kichloo

KISHTWAR, Apr 30: Saying that a new era of development and prosperity has dawned in the state under the leadership of Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah, the Minister of State for Industries, Commerce, Home and Tourism, Sajad Ahmad Kichloo today said all the promises made to the people will be fulfilled during the remaining one and a half years tenure of the present dispensation.
“Govt is pooling all the available resources to fulfill the promises made to the people,” Mr. Kichloo said while addressing a public gathering at Thathri in district Kishtwar on the first day of his four days visit to the remote and farflung areas of the district.
Mr. Kichloo said that employment generation to provide jobs to the un-employed youth of the State is top most priority of the present Government, adding that all the possible employment opportunities in both public and private sectors are being exploited to provide dignified jobs to the youth. He said exploitation of all the available industrial opportunities is being fast tracked keeping in view the huge employment and economic potential in the industrial sector. He called upon the youth to come forward in a big way to venture in self employment for earning a dignified livelihood. In this way, educated youth can become job providers rather than job seekers,” Mr. Kichloo asserted.
He urged the people to take full benefits of the incentives available under the existing Central and State Industrial policies in vogue in the State.
Mr. Kichloo assured the people that upliftment of the poor and down trodden people especially living in backward and mountainous and Kandi belts is the main concern of the present Coalition Government. He asked the people to strengthen the hands of Omar Abdullah for steering the State to new heights of development and prosperity. He said his doors are open for everybody irrespective of caste creed and colour, adding that no stone will be left unturned to come upto the expectations of the people.
Mr. Kichloo assured that provision of all the modern amenities to the rural populace at par with the towns is the agenda of present Government which will be pursued at all costs.
