Govt clarifies on recruitment of SI Sales Tax, Excise

JAMMU, Sept 13:  The recruitment to the post of Sub-Inspector in the J&K Excise and Sales Tax  shall be made through direct employment  and promotion in the ratio of 60:40 till the recruitment rules are formally amended.
According to a Government order, 60 recruitment  of  the Sub-Inspectors through direct employment and  40 percent  by promotion from class IV category, provided the incumbents are matriculate and have passed departmental examinations prescribed for the post besides rendering of at least five years service.
