JAMMU, Dec 19: The Low Paid Employees Federation (LPEF) leaders from Kashmir today expressed grave concern over the delaying tactics of the Government in regularization of casual and need based employees in the State especially those working in PDD and PDC.
The senior leaders of the Federation, including its chief organizer, Mohammed Shaban, vice president, Nazir Ahmed Magrrey , general secretary, Mohammed Javed Shah, Abdul Aziz Sheikh and Mohamed Latif Mir today took serious exception to the fact that the draft resolution submitted by the Government to MD, PDC a year back for according relaxation in age, qualification Condoning of break in service but the same is pending with MD’s Office since then.
They said MD in case is unable to do the same, he should empower respective chief engineers and chief project engineers to do the needful.
They said this has generated a lot of resentment among the workers. Moreover, the need based workers working in power houses have not been paid wages for a long time which is a grave injustice with them.
They also demanded posting of those employees who were promoted by DPC last year and resale of pension to retired PDC employees who have not been given the same since 2012.
