SRINAGAR, Oct 10: The State Government has accorded sanction to the appointment of Nasir Ahmed Butt, son of Mohammed Aslam Butt of Kishtwar to the Post of junior scale of the Kashmir Administrative Services (KAS) with immediate effect.
The officer will be deemed to have been appointed to the post with effect from September 18 this year the date when the other candidates figuring in the Selection list prepared by Public Service Commission were appointed vide Government Order No 1350-GAD of 2013.
The appointee has been directed to report the J&K Institute of Management, Public Administration (IMPA) and Rural Development Jammu and also produce the necessary documents.
The order to this effect was issued by General Administrative Department (GAD) here today. As per the order Nasir Ahmed whose name figured in the list of 65 Junior KAS officers was declared however declared as temporarily unfit for service.
However the PSC sought the opinion of the Medical Board and it was recommended to reassess the medical fitness of the candidate within a period of six months. But after the reassessment of his fitness by Medical Board the Government accorded sanction to his temporary appointment.
